Start with Why

Simon Sinek

I've enjoyed Sinek's books and musings, he speaks with a real authenticity that has this inherit belief in people.  He has this joyful little book that even smells nice. But that's for another time.

Start with Why is a framing that for most businesses is real real easy to say, but super tough to do. I only see a few really doing this well culturally, and on my travels I've encountered individuals who are just great at not losing sight of the outcomes.

The book talks about the people needed around a leader who has the mindset, this is mentioned in the example of MLK Jnr. The example amplifies the power of the why to motivate and base and form movements.

It reminds me a little bit of the video "how to start a movement" a meme about leadership, well worth the 3 minutes.
