This book gives you a glimpse into the world of data visualisation with the d3.js framework by Mike Bostock. But it really is a glimpse and I expected a bit more for my money. Instead, I was presented with a rehash of the initial code examples with no extra guideance. I was hoping for some line by line examples of the various charts you can draw in d3 but instead, I got a bit about how to draw rectangles and create and destroy data. If you are new to d3 visit the site and check out the examples of which there are numerous.
